International Studies

Montclair State University offers an interdisciplinary minor in International Studies. The minor program is described below. Minor in International Studies

This program consists of 18 credits distributed among core requirements (6 credits), area studies courses (6 credits), a global issues course (3 credits) and a course with international focus (3 credits). What follows is a list of courses that satisfy each one of the minor requirements. 

Core requirements: INTL-100 Introduction to Global Issues (required); INTL-400 Integrative Seminar in International Studies (required).

Two courses (six credits) in Area Studies, selected from courses in the following departments: Anthropology, English, Fine Arts, Russian, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Italian, Urban and Geographic Studies.
