My most recent research has centered on the radical development experiment taking place in Kerala State, India. Through village research in 1986-87, and several subsequent shorter trips, I have produced a number of publications, some of which are listed below. I welcome communication with other researchers and students who are interested in Kerala or the theoretical issues of inequality and development, democratic participation, land reform, radical movements, or related issues.
