The Mararikulam Seminar
On 12 and 13 May 2002 more than 200 academics and activists attended the Mararikulam Seminar on Decentralisation, Sustainable Development, and Social Security. The Seminar was organized by the Joint Committee of Panchayats of Aryad and Kanjikuzhy Blocks and the International Labor Organization of the United Nations and was held at the Angelking Tourist Home in Pathirapalli a few kilometers south of Saint Michael's College, Chertala, where the Inauguration and Mari Soap Pledge had taken place the previous day.
