In order to provide "real world" professional experiences, the Department
maintains contractual relationships with community clinics, hospitals, agencies
and educational programs. Through its Clinics, the Department offers diagnostic,
habilitative and rehabilitative services to University students and staff, as
well as to individuals in the surrounding areas.
Center for Communication Disorders
The Communication Disorders Center at Montclair State University is a clinical
facility within the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. The CDC
provides diagnostic evaluation and treatment for adults and children who
demonstrate communication difficulties.
Center for Hearing and Balance
The mission of the MSU Center for Hearing &
Balance is to provide outstanding clinical training for audiology students and
to serve the audiologic needs of individuals at MSU and in the surrounding
communities. The Center for Hearing and Balance offers
assessment for children and adults with hearing impairment and/or balance
concerns. Referrals are accepted from physicians, school personnel, and other
professionals. Clients may also be self-referred.
