| Ilse Wambacq, PhD was awarded a
second year of funding for her research grant from the Deafness
Research Foundation. Her project is titled: Neurophysiological and
Psychoacoustic Indices of Binaural Processing in
Adults. |

Four students in the Audiology docotral
program were awarded their Doctor of Science in Audiology at the
Montclair State University commencement ceremony on May 23, 2008.
The students, their research advisor and the title of their research
is listed below:

and Christmas Pammit have been selected for membership
in Alpha Epsilon Lamba. This is an Honor Society for Graduate and
Professional Students. |
| Mary Boyle, PhD
was named a Fellow of the American Speech Language
Hearing Association in November 2007. |
| Ms. Faith Parker, a doctoral student in
audiology, has received the 2007 Student
Research Grant in Audiology from the American
Speech-Language- Hearing Foundation.

Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology, of the American

American Academy of Audiology Meeting in April 2007
Irene Lin, BA presented her clinical research project titled "Localization by
Motorcyclists Wearing Hearing Protection"
Courtney Oliveto, BS presented her clinical research project titled
"Soundfield Systems, Not Just
for Kids. "
Laura Wheaton, BA presented her clinical project
titled
"Screening Young Children For Auditory Processing

Accreditation Site Visit
Scheduled for Audiology Program:
On February 22nd and 23rd 2007 the audiology doctoral
program had a site visit from the Council on
Academic Accreditation. A team of four individuals
were on campus for two days to evaluate the program which
is in candidacy status and applied for full
accreditation. |
| Doctoral Student
Presents at an International Meeting:
Faith Parker, student in the
research doctoral track of the audiology program,
presented a poster at the 2007
meeting of the American Auditory Society held in
Scottsdale, AZ in March. Her paper is entitled, Auditory evoked potentials to interaural time
differences in 500 and 4000 Hz click trains. |

receives grant from Special Olympics
Matthew Nesbitt, a student in the
clinical audiology doctoral program has received a grant
from Special Olympics to support his clinical research
project - A Portable Auditory Screening
Environment (PASE) |
