Assignment on Price, Deconstructing Jesus, Chapter Eight:
                      The Historicized Jesus?

     Please study this fascinating chapter carefully. Note that it
shows some similarities, in theme at least, with Price's article "The
Incredible Shrinking Son of Man," which we have already read and
discussed.

     The chapter is divided into nine sections, titled: "Christ
Evolving"; "Lubavitchers and Nazoreans"; "Johannine Docetism";  "Ali
and Allah"; "Christian Mosaic"; "Joshua Messiahs"; "Euhemerism";
"Truths and Truisms"; "Hero Stories." The first section, "Christ
Evolving", presents a kind of 'overview' of the rest of the chapter.

     Please read ALL these sections carefully. In your 300 word
assignment, summarize each one in a few sentences, to make certain to
yourself that you understand Price's argument in each one. Email to me
