Price, Deconstructing Jesus

     We have discussed in detail two chapters from Robert Price's
book, Chapter 7 and Chapter 8.

     In this final assignment, we'll deal with the rest of the book.

     Group One: Please write on Chapter One, "Reconstructing Christian
Origins."

     Group Two: write on Chapter Two, "The Jesus Movements."

     Group Three: write on Chapter Three, "The Christ Cults."

     Group Four: write on Chapter Four, "Messiah as Mishnah."

     Group Five: write on Chapter Five, "The Lost Gospel."

     Everyone: please read the Introduction, "Jesus Christ as the
Effect of Christianity, Not the Cause." It's quite brief, and basic to
the rest.

     Ten minutes after the beginning of class, I'll ask each group to
report on the chapter assigned to it. Everyone in each group should be
prepared to have something to say.

     In preparation for this report, please do the following written
assignment. Email to me, and to your group:

     Write 300-400 words doing the following:

     1. Summarize the main points of the argument in the chapter
assigned to your group.

     2. Pick ONE passage you thought important, for some reason.
Specify the reason. Discuss the passage in detail, but do not
summarize it, but discuss it.
