Hesiod, _Works and Days_, 105 to 235.

     Be sure to PRINT OUT all these readings and bring them to class.

     What attitude does Hesiod have about the "Golden Age"? What does
he think characterized this age? Compare his account to Ovid's.
Finally, compare how both express in mythical form what Thomson
discusses with modern historical and economic analysis.
