NoR: Book Into Film?

     Please take the video of The Name of the Rose out and
watch it carefully.

     Then, please compare and contrast the treatment of one
issue in both book and film. You may pick an issue from among those on
the list of passages I posted for you -- here
is that list of passage. Or, you may pick another passage or set of
passages, another issue.

     Assignment: 200 words. However --

     You DON'T have to write the whole 200 words at once. Instead, I'd
like to ask you to write no more than 100 words, then go back later
and respond to -- i.e. "reply" to -- the post of another student.

     You can write EITHER one "reply" of 100 words, or -- maybe better
-- TWO "replies" of about 50 words each.

     The purpose of this is to get you discussing these issues
amongst yourselves. 

     Of course, you don't have to LIMIT yourself to 200 words, or to
two "replies". You can write as many as you want.
