You may discuss the social criticism; or, the "ideology" or values set forth by the Narrator in your passage; or, you may want to relate your passage to social or economic change.
Whatever you do, try not to generalize too much. Rather, be as specific as you can in analyzing parts of the book. Cite a few examples to illustrate your analysis.
