Montclair State University offers two certificate programs in Forensic Psychology with the option of Clinical Placement and Supervision – Clinical placement and supervision is available to BOTH licensed and license-eligible professionals. Clinical placement and supervision is available to carefully selected graduate students who obtain prior program approval.
Certificate Program in Family/Civil Forensic Psychology
This option provides comprehensive didactic training in both juvenile criminal and family/civil aspects of forensic.
This program requires completion of five Learning Modules, representing 15 credit hours.
Certificate Program in Criminal Forensic Psychology
This program is for professionals seeking to gain greater competence and expertise in the criminal aspects of forensic psychology, including, but not limited to, risk assessment, criminal competencies, and criminal responsibility.
This program requires completion of five Learning Modules, representing 15 credit hours.
Course fees are based on graduate credit tuition. Each course is three credits.
Selected students can complete both course sequences in a year as part of a post-doctoral fellowship in agencies and hospitals consistent with the requirements for diplomate status. There is also a non-fellowship option of clinical placement and supervision for license and permit eligible applicants. For applicants selecting the clinical placement and supervision option, additional course credit and fees apply.
