The Department of Legal Studies offers students the opportunity to study Law as in the Jurisprudence major and Pre-Law minor in preparation for a career in law as an attorney. Advanced study of law for professionals who do not necessarily intend to attend law school in governance, compliance, regulatory affairs, legal management, human resources, intellectual property and dispute resolution is available in the Master of Arts in Legal Studies. The Jurisprudence major is recommended for those students contemplating law school. The Master of Arts, with concentrations in Intellectual Property, Governance, Compliance, & Regulation, Dispute Resolution and Legal Management, Information & Technology is offered as a career enhancement degree for non-lawyer professionals in the legal field.
