Summer Internships for Students in Linguistics and Related Disciplines

There are several competitive internship programs for graduate and undergraduate linguistics students, particularly for students interested in cognitive science and computational linguistics. Many of the internships are funded by the National Science Foundation’s Research Experiences for Undergraduates program. Internships typically offer a stipend. Some offer living arrangements as well. They all offer wonderful experience in being a practicing linguist.

Montclair State Linguistics sent two students to internships last year: Ying Chen (MA candidate) went to Johns Hopkins, and Fanny Velandia (BA candidate) went to Penn.
