Dickson Hall Lab and Special Room Booking Procedure:
Requests for FULL SEMESTER CLASSES Requests for ONE TIME or SPECIAL EVENTSOnly CHSS full-semester courses can be scheduled in the Dickson Hall computer labs (DI-182, 280, or 282) prior to the beginning of the semester requested. During the regular university course scheduling cycle, an announcement is sent to all CHSS departments asking that requests for these computer labs be sent to Associate Dean Alan Cottrell by a specified deadline. Once the schedule of requested room assignments has been finalized, confirmations will be sent to the requesting department chair and to the Registrar (who will do the official scheduling). The confirmed requests are also entered into Meeting Maker and can be checked online. Additions or changes to full-semester class scheduling after that point should be directed to Alan Cottrell. The final exam schedule will match the Registrar's exam days/times, as printed in the Schedule of Courses each semester. Final exams in DI labs will be entered into Meeting Maker once the exam schedule becomes available.
Faculty who wish to use a DI computer lab during exam week for a time other than their designated scheduled time must follow the guidelines set down for ONE TIME or SPECIAL EVENT requests.
There is a period during which only full semester courses, or final exams for these courses, can be added or revised to the Dickson Hall lab schedule. Outside of this period, requests for one-time and/or special events will be accepted and scheduled, if available, in the order in which they were received, with priority to CHSS classes and events.
Please read the instructions below carefully in order to request space in the labs.Requests for one-time or special events should be handled as follows:
