COURSE REQUIREMENTS AND PROCEDURES

1. Two exams, worth about 80% of final grade.
2. Make-up exams will be at the discretion of the instructor, and may be
   taken ONLY on the last day of class.
3. Periodic quizzes, worth about 20% of final grade. Absolutely no
        make-up of quizzes!
4. No formal attendance requirement, but students are responsible for
   material discussed and instructions given in classand for taking quizzes
   and exams when scheduled.
5. To receive a passing grade for the course, students must take both exams,
   unless other arrangements
have been made with the instructor.
6. Absolutely no food is to be eaten in class, unless required by
   documented medical condition.
7. Cell phones and pagers must be turned off before class begins.
8. Getting up or leaving during the class period is distracting. If you
   think you might have to leave in the middle of class, please sit

   by the door.
9. Talking or whispering with fellow-students during lectures is rude and
   distracting.
10.Cheating on exams will result in an automatic "F" for the course.
