SYLLABUS

SCOPE AND OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE

This course introduces students to the study of the relations among independent nation-states and non-state actors in the contemporary world. It will examine theories of international relations, the nature of the state system, international  organizations, international security, trade and economic developlment and human rights. Students should leave the course with a better understanding of the contemporary system of nation-states and its significance.
