Directions: When using online or GPS mapping systems, use 30 East Normal Avenue, Montclair, NJ 07043 (directly across from our main entrance) as your destination. From Normal Avenue: Turn right onto College Avenue (main entrance to campus). College Avenue will bend to the left and the parking garage is on the right. Park in the garage and exit the garage on the Fifth Floor. Follow the path for approximately 150 yards directly to University Hall/The College of Education and Human Services (It is a Spanish Mission Style building; it is also the largest building on campus). Walk down the the hallway to the Registration area.
Public Transportation to MSU: Please visit http://www.montclair.edu/welcome/directions.html. Please note that the train does not operate on weekends.
Shuttle Service: Shuttle service to and from the conference hotels and The Village at Little Falls will be provided at the beginning and end of each conference day. Shuttle service will not be provided throughout the conference day. The on-campus and hotel shuttles will operate as follows: Thursday (10am-1pm; 6:30-9pm); Friday (6:30-9 AM; 6:30-9 PM); Saturday (6:30-9 AM; 5:30-8 PM); and Sunday (6:30-9 AM;1-4 PM). Travel times may vary slightly.
Parking: All Conference Attendees, who opt to drive to Montclair State University, will need to park in the Red Hawk Parking Deck. The University is offering a reduced parking rate of $3.50 per day, but you must order the parking vouchers in advance. If you plan on parking in the deck, please send an email to Milton Fuentes at fuentesm@mail.montclair.edu and let him know how many vouchers you will need (one per day). Vouchers can be picked up and paid for at the Registration table when you check in. We will accept cash or a check payable to: Montclair State University. Exact change is appreciated. The vouchers will be needed when you exit the deck. If you are parking at The Village at Little Falls and paid the parking fee, then you can leave your car at The Village for the duration of your stay. However, if you drive to the main campus, you will need to purchase parking vouchers as well.
Biennial Program: A copy of the final program is online at: http://chss.montclair.edu/psychology/scra/images/Final%20SCRA%20Program.pdf. Any changes will be listed on the program supplement. All registrants will receive a copy of the full program when they arrive.
Technology: All the Biennial conference rooms are equipped with a data projector, an overhead projector, a VCR, a DVD player, speakers and a screen. As noted in the proposal submission process, presenters are expected to bring their own computers. If you are a MAC user, please bring the necessary adapter.
Computer Services: Conference attendees may use the University Hall Computer lab located on the 5th floor. The hours are as follows: Thursday, 8 AM-9 PM, and Friday and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The lab is closed on Sunday. Conference attendees must wear their conference name badges to access the lab.
Mentoring Activities: The mentoring program is targeted to students, early career professionals and any new member of the field. Activities consist of an orientation to the program and to the conference (Friday breakfast); participation in mentor-led small group discussions around timely topics (by prior reservation; Friday and/or Saturday lunchtime); and informal, individualized mentoring throughout the conference by designated mentors when wearing their Mentor ribbon. Detailed information on the mentoring program will be in your registration materials.
Meals: Breakfast will be served at 7 AM on Friday, Saturday and Sunday; and boxed lunches will be served on Friday and Saturday. The Cocktail Social will be on Friday from 6:15-7:30 PM. Light snacks will be served throughout each conference day.
