Refer to concepts in Greenblatt's essay and/or Adorno and Horkheimer's piece. Or look for ideas to borrow from Veloso's or Clark's piece.

Read "against the grain" in order to discover what these texts are doing, consider what else is happening, analyze the subtle kinds of "work" involved, and explore different possibilities for meaning.
