Monday, July 12, 1999, 8:00 PM Council Chambers, Township Hall.

Daglian have found an effective way of having the budget not increase this year. And the gang of 5 has used their standard techniques to prevent this from happening. They want a tax increase so they can pin it on the mayor and daglian.

But, it involves insurance and we know who is sensitive when any discussion of insurance starts up.

Please, the best thing we can do is have lots of people watch the gang of 5 trash bloomfield.

You don't have to say anything.. your warm body in the audience makes a big difference.

If you need a ride, just post.

The Insurance is Daglians Friend, Marions Friend and Trefinger's Friend. It is a scam on the Taxpayers of Bloomfield. More costly in the short run and the long run. These posts are the Mayor's and Daglians MO. Daglian is just looking for something to tell the voter that he accomplished something. It's also a way for him to finance his upcoming campaign. Don't kid yourself people there is a lot of political money at stake and that is what has Daglian and Bukowski concerned, not the fact that the taxpayers will pay dearly for their folly. So everyone please come to the council meeting and learn the truth from the majority of the council.

The Insurance scam will put Buko and Daglian back in Treffingers good graces, after their endorsements of Grassman, where the people showed who is running Bloomfield. Not only to mention that this Insurance Carrier will line Daglians Campaign Pockets

< Subject: RE: Bloomfield Town Council Meetings >

I think you are confused. I think what you meant to say is that the insrance carrier lined Norton's pocket when he foisted the previous plans (health and liability) on the taxpayers and the municipal employees.

Don't you want to set the record straight?

Hey "Just Curious" how much is the new health benefits package costing the taxpayers? NJ State Health Benefits don't come cheap. There is no competition so what you see is what you get. Can't blame the previous administration for trying to contain costs for health benefits. Too bad the town employees don't want to cooperate.

< Subject: RE: Bloomfield Town Council Meetings >
< From: >Just Curious
< Date: 11-Jul-99 >

Did the plan contain costs? How did it do that, by not paying legitimate claims? No health insurance is cheap, but as with everything you pay for you should get your moneies worth.

What's the matter with town employees or any employee wanting the benefits they are entitled to?

As for your last statement, I agree that you "can't blame the previous administration for trying to contain costs for health benefits" I disagree with the way they went about it and with the results.

They are truly amazing. You get to see and hear it all. It baffles me why more residents don't attend them. Maybe they should televise the conference sessions as well as the public sessions. The "informed" public will be able to make "informed" decisions when it comes time to vote. or Or is it that maybe some people don't want you to be informed so they can continue to pull the wool over your eyes.

Taxpayers, please attend the Monday, July 26th council meeting. You will have an opportunity to observe for yourselves the lack of respect displayed by certain Council members for the Mayor and taxpayers. We don't have to put up with this lack of respect. We also don't have to put up with stupid bureaucrats who mistreat the public. Let's organize a write-in campaign for November. We need "civilized" candidates who will listen to their constituencies.

Attention voters, don't be scammed again. Just say NO to the GOP choices for wards 1 & 3 and don't accept their "surprise write-in candidate" for ward 2! And...don't you understand that the town has done everything it CAN do until the courts resolve the issues? I can understand the tenants' frustration, but their efforts are misdirected. The town has done the inspections, found the violations, levied the fines. The Brookdale Gardens owners keep fighting and appealing. The tenants would be better served by banding together and hiring the best attorney they can afford to make their landlord fix up and/or pay up. They're accomplishing nothing by venting at council meetings.

Mayor Norton used to make a team of inspectors go to Brookdale Gardens EVERY WEEK. The landlord didn't dare let things go too far then because she knew every violation would be detected right away. WHAT HAS BUKO DONE TO HELP?

So you're saying that when Norton left office everything was hunky dory at both Brookdale Gardens and Essex House apartments and it all came undone in the last nine months? If that is the case why were the tenants complaining of problems that have existed for ten years? You're advice is for the rent payers to hire the best attorney they can afford because the town isn't doing its' job? When the Brookside group did that you painted them as a bunch of malcontents. You can't have it both ways. Which will it be?

....and now, all of a sudden they are pissing and moaning about DeCarlo because the Marionettes are in there stirring up the crap! Like Tamborini will do anything. It'll take Ray at least 6 months to find his way around the process, and the rest of his time will be spent watching his back!

You asked: So you're saying that when Norton left office everything was hunky dory at both Brookdale Gardens and Essex House apartments and it all came undone in the last nine months?

I answer: Look who was on the bench and had the power to do something to enforce the codes and collect the fines during the Norton administration. Look at who didn't. Look at who was removed from the bench for incompetency? Look at who is mayor now. Look at who is still doing nothing.

Remember when Buko was the judge and there were about $50,000 worth of fines imposed on the owners of the Brookdale Gardens and Buko threw them all out or dismissed them very lightly. He DID admit to it one night at the meeting that he did get lots of citations for those problems that STILL exist. He just sits there duh! That's the reason he is doing NOTHING now!!!!

Well Bengal-land, I guess you get what you elect!?

Of course Marionettes, lets once again piss and moan at ANY available target. If Dennis DeCarlo were an ass-kissing Real Republican like our BOE, he'd be Mr. Clean. But because he called Buko and the Repulsives for what they were then and are now, Dennis is a bad guy!

Think Not!

Sure elect Tamborini. Like he'll care about Brookdale Gardens....Not!

My vote goes to Dennis.

I support Dennis. Ray is a great guy, and if elected, I know he'll do a fine job. However, Dennis has conducted himself with remarkable integrity and dignity during a very difficult year. This is an admirable man. (Bonus Points: And his re-election will irk the hell out of Marion.)

There were many times it COST the town to prosecute a violator because Buko dismissed charges. Between that and his letting Violations Bureau collections slide, Buko COST the town a bundle. He couldn't even run one department, let alone a town!

Don't think for one minute that Ray and Dennis are going at this very serious. They've set Bukowski up for the kill and are moving in. Dennis has managed to infiltrate Bukowski with the help of Ray but mostly through the help of the republicans that have taken Ray in. Once an enemy gets behind your lines and looks like everyone else you're in trouble. Mayor Bukowski, watch your back.

Would you support a candidate for a taxpayer paid salary as a councilperson when it has been proven that the candidate doesn't pay his/her taxes? And if its done, its the minimum and very late?

Can anyone spell hypocrite? Marion can. It was the best she had to offer.

One of the main topics was the high costs of fees from Gerald Dorf our outside counsel (backup to Pirone). Dorf bills us $175 an hour and the average rate charged by other outside firms (with comparable credentials) is $125 an hour. Dorf fees have rise from $97k IN 1997 to $147K to date in 1999. It was suggested that a vote be taken to look into hiring a new lawyer. Tim kane threw a temper tantrum and declared "I'm not voting". Zawacky was told to get out the Dorf files for a review of the fees. A vote was taken and it was determined that no action be taken until a review of the Dorf files was taken. A few ineresting comments during the vote: Mo Esposito said "you get what you pay for". Hey Mo, don't you shop for anything ? I thought the town was supposed to use competitive bidding as a criteria. Tim Kane said "I'm not voting". I thought voting choices were: yes, no or abstain. Is timmy on his OWN TEAM ? Why is the majority of the council defense of getting a new counsel ?

In the years Mr, Dorf has been labor attorney, has there ever been a strike by municipal employees? No. You get what you pay for. Same thing with the BOE law firm. When Simon, Schwartz and Edelstein was the BOE's representation, were all cases against the school district settled or disposed of? Yes. Did they ever give bad advice? No. However, the Boyz wanted a new law firm who would rubber-stamp anything the council did, and presto, they got Gaccione, Pomaco and Beck.

By your rationale and Ms.Esposito's we should go find a more expensive lawyer. Because he would be better and do more than Dorf. Right ?

The cost of an attorney's fees is only one consideration. You also have to examine the cost of inadequate representation. If one attorney costs than another but is better-able to represent us, thereby saving us settlement costs, you may find the inexpensive firm is actually more expensive!

Nope, not Martha. Why do you posters pretend to know everyone else's identity? Or pretend there's only one person in all of Bloomfield who does not agree with you? Martha's not the only one with intelligence, you know. However, those of us who are intelligent support her. Martha for Mayor next time around!

Why does Frank pretend to know something about corruption and nepotism? He never wrote an article showing such things. He came here and lied to everyone claiming he would reveal something the week before the election. Where is it, liar? It shows what dishonest people Norton and Arms are. They support Frank and his lies.

Let's see what Mr. Dorf will do when it comes to representing the town in the shooting case.

These lawyers are ripping off the town. There are excellent lawyers who don't have Council Connections and charge reasonable fees. Out with the blood suckers!
